Abs Drive In West Jordan

Heard a radio plug for Abs Drive in and decided to give it a try today for lunch.  Sounded unique and there is one not far away, so I drove to the one west of Jordan Landing located at 7903 W Airport Road in West Jordan.  The outside is clean and nice, rather unassuming.  Inside was also nice and clean.  Well maintained and well kept.  The decor is a kinda 50’s malt shop theme.  Of course I had to go with the “Fat Boy Combo”, it seem to be their headliner. 

The combo which included fresh handcut fries with the peels still on the potato, a medium coke and an original Fat Boy hamburger which is essentially a double cheese burger were all very good.

I must admit that many hamburgers taste similar, but this one was very unique.  It had a sweetness to it that was very good without being too sweet.  The website http://www.absdrivein.com/ indicates that their hamburgers have a special sauce and relish that are unique to Ab’s.  In addition, the fry sauce also had a uniqe flavor.  Again, a sweetness that was not overpowering.  I went in the afternoon, and the dining room was moderately busy, however the drive through was very busy.  They have obviously built a loyal following, as their location is a little bit off the main traffic thoroughfares.  I thought it was very good.  If you have not tried abs before, I highly recommend you give it a go.
