Tommys Burger

Of course I had to go with the original.  The Tommy Burger Combo.  Number 1 on the menu.  Tommys Burger is a burger with Tommys special chili sauce.  It’s really more like a puree.  The hamburger patty was a standard size.  It came with Tomatoe, mustard and onion.   The combo comes with a very  generous serving of lightly golden and mildly crisp french fries.  The combo was $5.50. and included a medium drink.   They have fry sauce, but you have to ask for it. 

Sign said they don’t take checks, so if you go, come with cash or plastic.  (No American Express.)    While I was there, there was a regular stream of clients.  No seating indoors.  As you can see by the photo below, there’s not a lot of space in Tommys.  You can stand at a bar, or you can wander outside to one of their well kept picnic tables with a fresh coat of bright red paint.  They do a good job of keeping the tables clean.   Service was friendly and asked if I liked the food, and I admit, it was very good.  It’s obvious that they have a following, and I can see how a person can develop a love for a Genuine Tommys Burger.
